1) On one side we have ISIS attacks that kill Parisians. The response is to call for a ban on accepting refugees who are trying to escape ISIS. This despite the fact terrorists posing as refugees have not carried out one terrorist plot on american soil in 35 years. Nevertheless the right wing wants to ban them, register them, etc...
2) On the other side we have 10's of thousands of Americans murdered by guns every year. We try to pass a law that doesn't ban guns, doesn't take guns away from people- a law to increase the background checks on people that buy guns- The right screams and howls and prevents us even doing that little bit...
Imaginary threats are politically useful tools-
Actual threats are to be ignored, and any action to lessen the real threat must be treated as treason...
Its a twisted little world these creatures want to create- and too many are perfectly happy to help them without questioning why, or at what cost.
