This is a very big black hole very far away.
Are there any smaller black holes closer to us of a larger apparent size, that is, that subtend a larger angle on the celestial sphere?
What angular resolution to they expect to achieve (I expect they are using interferometric radio astronomy).
A very bold and ambitious project, and a potentially very important one.
