Do you understand the critical difference between bigots yelling "they're attacking our women" when it's not actually true, and someone saying "they're attacking our women" when women are actually being attacked by large gangs?
Do you remember when the whole immigrant flap started and why? Or what the positions were? A review might be handy. It wasn't about harassing women. It was about murder.
Remember, since current U.S. immigration policy involves a year or two of vetting in refugee camps outside Syria, the idea that the people we allow in right now are being saved from imminent "rape, torture, starvation and murder" doesn't hold up.
As a test case of the opposite extreme, Europe didn't have any real controls at all, and we can see how that's turning out.
Some reasonable middle ground can be worked out, and additional caution in the face of an actual ISIS threat to infiltrate the refugees is not bigotry.
