You're damn straight they're passionate.
They feel their way of life, their hegemony, their supremacy slipping through their fingers. They've already shown they are capable of any obstruction, any sabotage, any blackmail to get their way, even if it means bringing the country into gridlock, to the edge of financial or military ruin through treachery and even treason. The only thing they lack is one mind, one leader, one central figure to unite them. One Ring to bind them all. One Fuhrer.
They want their country back. They feel they've worked for it, they've paid for it and they've earned it, and they don't have any intention of sharing it with anyone else, no matter what their claim or how long they've lived and worked here. They feel they are entitled to it, they own it, and with them, prop'ty is everything. But it ain't Trump. Hitler, you will recall, was Austrian, not German.
Yeah, history does not repeat itself, it doesn't even have to rhyme. But sometimes the melody is hauntingly familiar.
