Everyone's down on Christie, but I have it on good authority that his rebel spirit is as strong as ever. Apparently, after boarding the plane Trump told him to board, Christie took 2 -- count 'em, 2 -- bags of peanuts. And he ate them. Both.

When asked about his plunging poll numbers, he said "I'll cross that bridge when I close it." And as for what he was thinking while standing on stage behind Trump, all he'd offer was "I promised myself I wouldn't cry, and I didn't."

Asked about his plans, he said that after packing up to move out of the governor's residence, he was hoping to work on his memoirs. "Does anyone know of a good self-publishing company?" he asked. No one responded though, as by then everyone else was caught up in the rush to get off the plane.
