The Spaniards destroyed several great Indian civilizations.
And the Incas and Aztecs also annihilated those American civilizations that preceded them. History is a sad record of conquest and genocide and enslavement, and there is blame enough to go around for everyone.
But the greatest blame is reserved for those who arrived last, who somehow feel entitled to think that they, and they alone, have any right to the land. How quick they are to forget that it is only a matter of time before their turn will come.
