I think you guys are all fixated on Trump, and missing the real show. Trump is stupid and mean, but Cruz is smart and evil.

Its pretty clear that the Trump phenomenon is merely an appetizer for the main course, a Cruz candidacy. The Donald is firing up the trogs, locating the minefields, clearing the razor wire and revealing where all the pillboxes are. And his excesses are all making the Trump alternative, a Cruz nomination, appear to be the redemption and salvation of the GOP and the Conservative movement. Cruz can debate, and even beat, Hillary. Trump can't do either.

Look at the list of Cruz enemies now either endorsing him, or considering it: Graham, Rubio, Romney, Fiorina... I don't think Cruz planned this all ahead of time, but he has certainly assessed the situation accurately and responded to it deftly. His campaign has been a study in timing and restraint. He has gone from the man no Republican, even the most conservative, could stomach, a pariah in the Senate and a demagogue, cynic and opportunist, to the hero that is going to rescue the oligarchs from the cloth-coat Bunkers and wife-beater Bubbas they've created.

And to think, he wasn't even born in the United States. Sometimes god does have a sense of humor.
