The Mexican President *did* set a clever trap
But he's the one who stepped into it. What did he think, that if he could just talk to Trump, they'd be pals? That his domestic issues would be forgotten if he could wrangle some face time with The Donald?
His visit to Mexico allowed Trump to look authoritative while surrounded by the pomp and ceremony of international politics, and to come home sounding like a strongman who lays down the law to world leaders.
I don't think it matters how you slice it...today was a big win for the T-Rump.
