We need to remind ourselves periodically that compared to this, nothing else we talk about here really matters all that much in the long run.
Maybe we can't stop this from happening. But we owe it to our posterity to let them know why it happened, who was responsible, and why. At least, maybe we can prevent it, or something like it, from ever happening again.
