He was always - first and foremost- an ideological evangelist for the Randian "philosophy".
Patriotism for TB was nothing more than a club to wield against liberals that questioned things like the Iraq war. And now that the new Party leader says the Iraq war was a terrible stupid dishonest mistake, TB will fall into line with that.
Its not about patriotism with him, it is about being right- no matter what lies, or lives it costs. The first casualty of propaganda is honor... but it was an easy sacrifice for him to make, apparently.
