It's like a goddamn cult...
They have this religion they believe will save the world and bring about a utopia as foretold by Ayn Rand...
So they implement their blindingly stupid policies in accordance with their holy scriptures- they offer up sacrifices on the altar- the poor, the sick, the powerless are all gutted on the altar as an offering... but time and time again it fails to make things better. So do they question their religion? Nope... they just double down...
