Maybe what we're seeing here is...
...the GOP establishment maneuvering to find a way that turns Trump
voters against him but not against Republicans in general. I still think that they're doing everything they can to get Trump to resign or be impeached before the next mid-term election. They don't want to be dragged down with him.
I have to admit, the Trump Presidency is a fascinating show. The only way the Dems could top this is if they managed to get Anthony Weiner elected to the office.
