At some depth the gas might become liquid?
Maybe a thousand miles below the top of the cloud layers, maybe more. It's unlikely such a dynamic cloud system goes directly from gas to rock, right?
I assumed color enhancement, especially in the first pic of the Jovian pole. However, the rest of that image that is not blue does not look color enhanced.
