Isn't it fascinating how all the great Conservative crusades of the recent past are now being held up by the very people who promoted them as examples of evil, and Liberal conspiracies? Birtherism, as you point out, is now pointed to as a great hoax. Today, its difficult to find a wingnut who admits he once rabidly supported the baby Bush invasion of Iraq. You know, the one about WMDs. And for those of us with long memories, its hard to wrap our minds around the way the GOP backed Nixon on Watergate. They now self-righteously use the "W" word as an example of government corruption, unconstitutional behavior and tyranny.

It's not surprising. Look how many Germans today claim their families sheltered fugitive Jews in their basements during the Third Reich.
