Trump would already be history. But they don't, and the GOP isn't going to do anything about the problem because all they really care about is low taxes, low regulations, low employment and low salaries. We can already see they don't give a shit about budget deficits, as long as they are the ones who benefit from them. OF COURSE, most Republicans DO realize Trump is dangerous, malicious, incompetent, and probably mad. But they just don't care, because so far, he is getting them everything they want. And that's the only thing they care about. Remember, these people have spent three generations convincing themselves that government is impotent and irrelevant, if not downright evil, and that only business matters. So as long as business is thriving, (well, as long as they are thriving) they simply don't care what else is happening. Its a self-fulfilling prophecy.

What its going to take to get him out is one or more of the following:

1)A humiliating military defeat of American arms

2)A severe economic downturn

3)A badly bungled national crisis, such as a natural disaster. Puerto Rico doesn't count, those little brown Spanish speakers aren't REAL Amurcans.

4) They won't be able to blame 1), 2) or 3) on Obama or Hilary.

He ain't going nowhere until his constituency starts to suffer.
