You've built your model conservative as whipping post for your own consumption. It doesn't reflect the majority. NRA membership is 5 millon. The total of those who side with the NRA is 14 million. There are an estimated 114 million gun owners.

I cancelled my membership long ago. They've gone overboard, out of whack.

I don't remember any of the conservatives who used to frequent the board fitting your description.

Maybe RL can fire up his "way back" machine ...
