Why else do you think Trump is so paranoid about the Russian investigation and the number of people who attended his inauguration? Or his pathetic attempts to uncover three million fraudulent voters? He knows perfectly well his presidency is illegitimate, perhaps not legally or constitutionally, but in the way it really matters: culturally and politically.

The Right does not want to face it, but they are a minority in this country. A rapidly diminishing minority. The country is more urban, browner and younger--more immigrant and more educated. And after the Parkland incident, it looks like you've lost the Millennials, too. Those kids feel betrayed by the way the Right has sold them to the NRA. They will not vote for your side when they grow up--and how far way is that?

You're right about one thing though; "What difference does it make?" What Hillary (or Obama, for that matter) says, or used to say. makes no difference, absolutely no difference whatsoever, no matter how much you breathlessly cling to their every utterance as a justification of your choices of Trump and Conservatism. (Ah yes, what might have been.) You got everything you wanted and its still not enough. The only way the Right can keep power, culturally, politically or economically, is by rigging the vote and faking the news. That's all you've got. And you can only do that for so long--unless you go full Nazi on us. This isn't an argument about whether the Chicago Tribune agrees with Redneck Radio. Its about whether Mayberry RFD still exists---if it ever really existed at all.
