Trump made a big point that the shooter wasn't a supporter...
This TOTALLY misses the point that Trump's words have been carefully chosen to appeal to those people that hold those views...
1) Trump suggested George Soros was behind the migrant caravan that is 1000 miles from our border but is somehow a national security crisis....
In one post, Bowers claimed Jews were helping transport members of the migrant caravans. He believed that those in the migrant caravans were violent because they were attempting to leave countries that had high levels of violence. And Bowers repeatedly called them "invaders."
"I have noticed a change in people saying 'illegals' that now say 'invaders'," read one post, six days before the shooting. "I like this."
2) Trump has been calling himself a "nationalist" and lauding it as a good thing- no one is missing this dog whistle- especially not the white nationalists. He has also been decrying the evil 'globalists'... code for wealthy Jews in the neo-nazi movement.
Robert Bowers knew those codewords well, he just wasn't convinced that Trump was extreme enough to suit him...
Trump is a globalist, not a nationalist.-Robert Bowers
The fact is that Trump has been trying to appeal to people like Bowers- the fact that he has succeeded in motivating the vast majority of white nationalists but failed to win over this one in particular in no way mitigates his guilt and responsibility.
3) Anti-Semitic incidents had been dropping prior to Trumps election- afterwards they have surged- this isn't an accident.
