The farther back we find multicellular life on earth,

the more likely it is that there is other intelligent life in the galaxy.

Intelligence requires the complexity of multicellular creatures, and the easier it is for metazoans to appear, the more likely it is that they are common throughout the cosmos.

This is really good news.
