Trump needs a foreign policy victory right now in order to distract us from his domestic troubles. He will give away the farm in order to get one. And he knows it will matter little if his deal is criticized by the Congress, the intelligence agencies, the armed forces or our allies, as long as he thinks his base will buy it. A phony peace in Korea, a sellout in China or a little war in Venezuela may be the only way he sees to avoid Mueller Time.
