How much electricity will a deep hole take to complete?
How much to really operate the drill?
In remote sites, where will that come from?
If a big amount of power is needed, can the cabling survive it?
Would they be tapping ground water? Hydrothermal fluids? Do they need to pump it out? Or just hope for thermal buoyancy? Exsolving vaper lift? Bubbles do strange things to wells. Or pipes.

Can it do directional drilling?

How is the geology logged with no drill core? Down hole geophysics only? Sample the vapor? That'll only give us elemental data. Not the minerals that held them. We are pretty good at doing that with geochemistry models, but it ain't the same.

The website seems to rather lacking in the tech details - seems to be more a sales pitch for investment?

So far, the experiments have been rather small. How will it scale to those depths?

Will this be like that scaled up carbon dioxide extraction plant in Iceland? The one with promising plan that didn't work as promised?

I'd love this to work. It'd be so cool! Or hot. Whatever. Go for it. You can't find out if it works unless you try.

But I've been in this biz too long to not have some strong doubts. You can't find out if it works unless you try. Buyer beware.
