...is not that Mr Trump makes spelling, factual and typographical errors. We all do that. The key fact here is that he doesn't care that he does, and that he makes little effort in eliminating them from his public pronouncements to the world from the office of the President of the United States. I don't know about you, but if I were making daily public comments as the leader of my nation, remarks I knew would be scrutinized by friend and foe alike, I would make certain I had a staff dedicated to go over them minutely to point out that I didn't inadvertently say something that wasn't true, or otherwise in error.
A second key fact is that his counselors and allies know he is capable of this careless and lazy communication style and do nothing to try to correct or control it.
And the third key fact is that his followers and constituency are probably not even aware of his ignorance and sloth because they share it as well.
But most disturbing of all is the conviction shared by so many of his party that this sort of proudly proclaimed public stupidity is somehow evidence of his being a true man of the people, and not a member of some hated, conceited, intellectual liberal political elite.
