Suddenly, all those things he couldn't accomplish in the first 4 years because of opposition (from the Congress, the courts, the press, even members of his own party or staff) will be possible. After all; "If they didn't impeach me for that, and if I got re-elected, then its obviously OK to try it again; and this time I won't take no for an answer." And everyone will be tired of mounting futile efforts to stop him and just give in to his outrages. The nation is already suffering from a bad case of Resistance Fatigue, and he will be emboldened to come down hard on his critics.
Its only a short step from stacking the courts and bending the law to simply ignoring them altogether. Remember, he has two powerful groups on his side, people with guns, and people with money.
