Not a flawless flight, but a big milestone reached. Muskfinger was aiming for six orbits but only achieved one full earth orbit due to an engine issue encountered on Ship (the upper stage) during its ascent. After launch mission managers were initially scrapping the orbital attempt of the mission but reversed the decision and decided to boost to LEO. After that was achieved it deployed 26 Starlink V3 satellites, three of which had cameras to inspect Ship's heat shield. There was then an adjustment made to truncate the mission and initiate an early deorbit.
Both the lower and upper stages completed splashdowns. The upper stage exploded after its splashdown. Not sure if that was expected.
NASA needs either Starship or New Glenn for Artemis IV, tentatively planned for 2028, so this was an important breakthrough mission.
