Wouldn't it be nice if...
...this was all just about a conflict between anarchist looter punks and racist thug cops. But there's a lot more to it than that. It goes back 400 years, it has a lot of moving parts, and a lot of people have a great deal invested in it and don't even seem to realize it.
Having said that, sometimes there's nothing like a rubber bullet or a burning police car to make people pay attention.
