...if once, just once, you had mentioned that Trump had disappointed you, or betrayed your principles, I think I might have treated you more kindly.
But it just seemed like you were covering up for him, making excuses for him, just trying to change the subject every time he was caught in some new outrage. It really looked like you were just trying to distract us from what was really going on.
Its what the rest of the GOP seems to be doing now, except for a tiny handful of really brave ones who have stood up to him at great cost to their careers and reputations--maybe even their personal safety.
Its why as far as I'm concerned, Conservatives are no longer "the loyal opposition". They are his accomplices, his partners in crime. Fellow traitors. I can no longer respect any of them.
