I recently discovered Torchwood. I can stream it from Amazon, and I've been working through the first season. Unlike Eureka, I don't think I'd pay for it; but it's part of my membership for no per-episode charge.

I too have been only lukewarm towards the series. They poured a huge effort into the pilot and it was a classic, but the episodes since have been pretty pedestrian. The gimmicks about ambiguous sexuality can only take 'em so far.

That said, thanks for the positive recommendation on the movie. I've seen it on Amazon and wondered whether to bother, and now I know to give it a try.
