Basic structure would be about 10 feet per floor.
No doubt the seas were high, but are the broadcast sea-condition measurements generally taken from trough-to-crest or sea level-to-crest? If sea level-to-crest, then “19 foot seas” would be about 4 stories trough-to-crest.
