Maybe deep down, you know that aid will only increase and prolong the suffering. For all the good intentions we have, the West's aid does nothing but draw out the inevitable. Those people are incapable of making it on their own, and aid does nothing but spread the suffering from one generation to another and another. It's best to simply let them fade away as quickly as possible.
