December Arctic Sea Ice Extent

The Arctic basin is once again covered by sea ice, (after all, it is winter). The sun reached its lowest point on the 21st and the long Polar night has begun. Still, there's a little more ice on the water than has been there for the last few years, although the general trend is still clear..
