Quit making excuses for these people, Rob. They are just no goddam good. There is no equivalence, no "two sides" to this issue..
This isn't just a question of them having a different view of tax policy, or defense, judicial activism or how much of our national budget should be devoted to welfare spending, or how much environmental regulation is enough, or too much.
These are people who want to run the economy for their benefit, and they just don't care about workers, consumers, the environment,
or the poor, or anyone who isn't just like them. And now they have managed to take advantage of their own victims' nationalism, racism, and religious fanaticism by feeding them a carefully controlled diet of lies. You know those lies, I listed some of here for you before, remember?
Barack Obama is a Socialist Muslim born in Kenya.
There is no global warming.
Covid is no big deal.
The Jan 6 thugs were actually Antifa plants.
The school shootings are false flag operations and the witnesses are all crisis actors.
Hillary runs a pedophile pizza parlor in Washington DC
The election was stolen
I could go on...
This isn't just a few fringe wackos any more, in fact, it never was. It is the platform of the Republican Party.
And are all Republicans like that? No about a dozen are not, and not one of them will escape being primaried.
We don't just have differences of opinion with these people. They are not just mistaken. They are not even stupid. They are evil.
