I thought long and hard about the Ukraine NATO concession.
But having Putin surrender his conquests in Crimea and Donbas will be a worthwhile trade. If he's not willing to give that up he should get nothing in return. Let him invade and suffer the long term consequences. As for the Ukrainians, they should know if he's not willing to trade something then he's planning to invade anyway. They might as well fight--or join NATO.
