"Orwellian" is an adjective
"Animal Farm" does not point out the inherent evils of Socialism, but how easily it can morph into something else, something very evil. "1984" is a detailed look at what it can morph into. And you know what? Socialism, carried to its logical extremes, is indistinguishable from Fascism. Be wary of anyone who tries to tell you avoiding either depends on embracing the other.
