Once again, excellent points.

And yes, sitting in my comfy chair without metal and explosives raining down from the sky while I opine on objectives-strategies-tactics feels weird. Even worse than discussing the subtleties of igneous petrology while watching a live video feed of peoples' homes being buried by lava.

Much worse.

But it is what we do. Try to express and share our knowledge and experience. I know that it will not have the slightest effect on the situation. Might make me feel a bit better, though.

That being said, there are several aspects of this current stupidity that are quite interesting as far as the evolution of modern conflict is concerned. Individual people are having an influence on social media. Open Source Intelligence is playing a huge role right now. Much more so on the defenders side.

Against modern weapons, tanks are worthless steel tombs. Hand held, in the woods, quick, mobile, small teams, with excellent location intelligence. Well, the vehicles are just lined up on the road for days, so it is not that hard. The days of Patton v. Rommel are long gone. We read that book.

The defense is doing serious damage to aircraft using surface weapons. More of these will be far more effective than dogfights. Why bother? Another anachronism. As you point out, a fighter aircraft takes dozens of people and hours to be effective. A shoulder mounted javelin? With good intel, maybe a squad?
