All the reasons that you say and also that a woman is capable of taking care of it herself, she doesn't need a man to do it for her. I'd be furious if a man did that if another made a joke about me.
Knights in shining armour are not needed, nor welcome. That's not about your actions though Podrock.
As for the Oscars, I didn't watch it - I have no interest in celebrity 'culture'
