Been years now
Haven't driven manual since I got rid of my Bronco 4WD with hubs that had to be manually locked. I didn't like having to get out and lock the hubs but preferred a manual transmission while off road. There were many times dropping into the lowest gear and just letting the transmission and engine to crawl down a hill.
The plug-in hybrid I have now has a Continuous Transmission. No steps between gears.
