Saudi Arabia IS a pariah state, and it needs to be taught a lesson. They shouldn't be able to shake down the world and brutalize their own people just because they are floating on top of an ocean of sweet crude. We also need to kiss their ass on account of their improving relations with Israel and because
they are feuding with Iran. On the other hand, Now is a good time to start cutting the world's dependence on fossil fuels, especially since Putin controls so much of of the world's supply. In other words, Biden is being forced to do some really ugly, even hypocritical, things with the Kingdom, but he really doesn't have much choice, does he?

I too, think Biden deserves flack, lots of it, for going to them begging, but at the same time, he's pretty much out of options, isn't he? And of course, he inherited a lot of these problems, too.
