I think they're going to save it for last.
The Russians will fortify it, but the Ukes will blow the Kerch bridges at the last minute, making it impossible to resupply or evacuate the Russian garrison. Then the Ukrainians will simply starve them out, and trade the prisoners they capture for their civilians kidnapped by Putin.
