Haven't checked my usual email for these things, but I checked the box. Said it was subject to review. My comment has not shown up after reloading the page.
Suggest he crank down on the approved comments. Open the door to replies. I'm sure he doesn't have time to approve every comment. Might result in a flurry of spam, though, in which case he can always shut that door a bit.
Airlock security is a flux. Especially when building a site. The time spent with approval / deletion term verses content generation / engagement. Does he spend more time approving comments than deleting them? Writing verses discussing?
I'd say open the air lock to all, without approval. See how it goes. We learn by doing.
If he is looking for feedback / discussion, can he find a way of formatting the page layout so the comments come directly after his post? Otherwise they are lost at the bottom of the scroll.
