National Geographic had the chart for the Moon's far side available at the time. I hung it on the bedroom wall.
The Korolev crater is impressive, located on the Lunar far side at 4.19°S 157.41°W, and has a diameter of 423.41 kilometers. At the time, I wrote a small piece about using this monster to frame a radio telescope in the Arisibo style, using the body of the Moon to block Earth interference. It would still have to be dampened to record solar activity during the New Moon periods. I mentioned this future telescope at the beginning of my "MARC: The Martian Armed Resistance Corps."
