There is no meaning in the universe.
The positive side to that is WE get to decide what's meaningful, not the universe itself.
The universe provides the physical structure, the laws of nature. We get to provide what matters, what's important. We decide what demands commitment and passion, ethics and morals, and we need not justify our choices to anyone else.
We have no control over the hand we're dealt. But we are totally in charge of how we choose to play it. I really like that.
