There really isn't much good news
It looks like my next job will be a radical departure from my previous work- I am probably taking the Fusion power job. If fusion is successful, then it will certainly help with the climate problem... but it is probably already too late.
I do not see a way that humanity avoids a collapse of civilization as we know it with billions dead...
and that is not including the hazard from misuse of AI...
