Four Thousand Years...
...Since Moses got the commandments from a "burning bush." Nothing more proves this is not the word of god but the word of man (a man suffering from schizophrenia who heard voices no less) than the absence of a commandment against slavery. Four thousand years of human suffering because there was no commandment "Thou shalt not own another human being."
