I had expected and hoped the descent into global fascism would likely be after I died... Even 25 years ago as a grad student in college, I could see it was inevitable... eventually...

What are the odds... to be born at a time where the universe is young enough to allow us to grasp its creation... according prevalent cosmological model the age of the universe is only the tiniest fraction of the projected life span of countless trillions of years. WHAT ARE THE ODDS?

To be born in the wealthiest and free nation at a time where the magnificence of the universe is finally starting to be really understood...and of that sliver of time, I had to be born at the right time to see it all get flushed down the toilet by violent, bigoted, morons that just want to use the n-word and burn down all our institutions.....
