The man does have a point.
I'm not sure I agree with it, but he argues it convincingly.
I do concur with him on one point: America needs a two-party system. The GOP serves as a necessary counterweight to Democrat excesses and foolishness (Yes, I am a card-carrying liberal, but I'll be the first to admit my side has a tendency to chase wild geese, get carried away and step on its dick). And now that Trump has shown us how, we have no guarantee that authoritarian bigots will not rise from the Left just as easily as they did from the Right.
