A very small contribution to science.
Did my thesis contribute to science? Did it build the knowledge base? Would other scientists incorporate into their work?
I haven’t checked lately, but I don’t think it has ever been cited. I’ve only a handful of other published works, they have been cited, and that makes me proud that decades of research has in a small way contributed to a highly esoteric topic in geology – nodular sillimanite gneiss, AKA “podrock”.
