Venezuela is bad because Trump has said America will run the country and take control of their oil exports. That will be accomplished by military intimidation, which ultimately could lead to permanent boots on the ground. But beyond that, the mere threat of military force to take Greenland disqualifies America from any criticism of Putin's invasion of Ukraine. If we have "the right" to take over territory in our backyard, so does he. If Trump actually goes through with a military takeover of Greenland that would be morally even worse since America would be attacking a nation that is our long time friend and military ally.
