I love the analogies Pace gives with Mt Everest, North Sea oil platforms, and Antarctica.
Another potential analogy I would use is Las Vegas. If it wasn't for tourism, there would be nothing there. It's just desert in the middle of nowhere. Build some hotels and casinos on the moon and people will come.
