Why would they want nuclear weapons?

Is it because they want to kick some ass? Or is because they didn't want someone
trying to kick their ass. Did Isreal need a bomb? South Africa? India? Pakistan? North Korea?

They developed (stole) the ability to enrich uranium, or plutonium, as a defensive measure against bullies. Mutual assured destruction, right? Last resort? Maybe they wanted a bomb to defend themselves?

Don't get me wrong. I do not defend Iran in anyway. They sponsor terrorism to further their theocratic goals. I'm not so sure we are not doing the same. Do I want them to have a bomb? No. Do I understand why they'd want one, or twelve? Yes.

I don't want any country to have a thermonuclear bomb. But here we are, with thousands of them and an idiot with the football. Good times.
