Space exploration is hard. And very dangerous. And my previous response was snarky, deliberately, because the opinion presented was so misleading in its attempts to create impossible to solve problems. As I pointed out, many of these problems have potential solutions that have been figured out decades ago.
But I'm not naive in thinking it will be easy, or soon, that we finally send humans to Mars. If Starship can't solve its heat shield problem that could be a showstopper. I have to believe they are going to get it done though. I'll start to really believe it, and so will you guys, when unmanned Starships start landing on Mars with supplies.
And what better place to land than Korolev crater? Located in the northern lowlands of Mars, it is an 82-kilometer (51-mile) wide impact crater packed with a permanent, 1.8-kilometer (1.1-mile) thick mound of water ice that never melts.
And it looks like one heckuva ski slope on that left ridge! :-)

I get it, btw
